This policy explains what personal information Ace Gutter Services collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Quote and callback forms: your name, phone number, postcode, and anything else you choose to give us, such as email, address, the service you need and your message. Commercial enquiries also include your company and type of property.
  • How you found us: the website or advert that sent you here, if you allow analytics cookies, or just the previous page if you don’t.
  • Technical information: our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure.
  • Phone calls and emails: if you contact us directly, we keep the details you give us so we can help.

Why we use it

  • To contact you about your enquiry and give you a quote, because you asked us to (steps before entering a contract).
  • To book, carry out and invoice the work if you go ahead (performing our contract with you).
  • To keep proper business and accounting records (legal obligation).
  • To understand which adverts and websites bring us enquiries (our legitimate interest, and only with your consent where cookies are involved).

We don’t sell your information, and we won’t send you marketing unless you’ve agreed to it.

Who we share it with

Only with the services we use to run the business, under agreements that protect your data:

  • GoHighLevel, our customer management system, where enquiries are stored and followed up.
  • Google, which provides our email. Google reviews shown on this site come straight from Google; we don’t receive any information about you from showing them.
  • Our website host and WordPress, which store a copy of each enquiry so none are lost.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK (for example in the USA). Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

If you don’t go ahead, we keep your enquiry for up to 2 years in case you get back in touch, then delete it. If we do work for you, we keep your details and job records for 6 years after the job, as required for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email acegutterservices@gmail.com and we’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
